This apartment needed both beauty and functionality as the client required wheelchair access throughout. This meant structural changes as well as aesthetic change.
The apartment originally hosted several small rooms, and the first step was to open up the space by moving a baring wall to open up the entrance and hallway. This also created stunning clean lines, that take the eye all the way through from the entrance to the garden.
To capture the natural light, we installed glass doors at the front and rear entrances, which allow the light to travel through the apartment. As this is a ground floor apartment, maximising the use of natural light was imperative.
To give added warmth and elegance to the rooms we used rich cherry wood internal doors.
